The excellent and efficient 2.4-liter engine that's in the Outlander and most Lancers (as well as the Jeep Patriot) was left on the shelf, mostly because the 2.0-liter gets about 2 more miles per gallon. People are intrigued by the Cruiser's difficult-to-define character. It is, as Chrysler marketing said, too cool to categorize. This local one-owner Cruiser has been well maintained and is still in great condition. The great thing about a PT Cruiser is its combination of practicality and reasonable price. Its affordability and practicality make it suitable for everyday use. And it's almost as much fun to drive as it is to be seen in. Features include air conditioning, power windows and a rear defroster with wiper. This Cruiser has power central locking, and dual power heated fold-away mirrors. The PT Cruiser blends the retro look of a late-1930's American sedan with modern styling cues like dual-beam flush headlights and bullet-shaped taillight lenses. By exterior dimensions, this PT Cruiser is quite compact. With 63 inches from pavement to the highest point of its roof, the Cruiser is also tall. That height is a crucial element of the PT Cruiser's design. This PT Cruiser has a thorough complement of safety features for a 2002 passenger vehicle. This PT Cruiser comes with three-point safety harnesses at all positions, including the rear seat's center position. The front belts have pyrotechnically charged tensioners, just like luxury cars, to keep the belts tight during an impact. The rear bench has child-seat tethers. Inside, this Cruiser's T-shaped symmetrical dashboard painted inserts pull exterior styling themes into the cabin. The instrument panel is clean, functional and aesthetically pleasing. The driver faces three white-faced gauges set in individual cylinders, with speedometer center, tachometer right and fuel and water temperature left. Stored in my garage and driven on nice days with 2 -4 k miles since a meadowlark yellow 351 Windsor 4v, fmx auto, 3.00:1 open rear, a/c,p/s, power front disc brake Mach One. Now a torch red, 427 Ford Racing cratemotor, tko 5 speed manual, 3.89 locker. This car is show and go. All engineaccessories were purchased new for the new engine -full serpentine belt setup. I havemany pictures of the car at various stages of build upon request. There is nofiller in the car, parts were replaced with original tooling as needed. It wasassembled and sanded in place so all lines match and gaps measured then takenoff and painted in Torch Red. The flat black hood, window louvers and spoilerswere painted in hot rod black to match. A custom reverse script 3m reflectivestripe goes from flat black to silver depending on angle and light. The enginebay was discretely braced to handle the torque of the 10k plus engine. Thingslike the heater core and evaporator were replaced when the car went backtogether. Has dyna mat throughout. Sony cd head unit, two Alpine amps and two10" subs along with many speakers neatly hidden make this stereo rival my 900watt Harmon Kardon in my Challenger. Air Conditioning

The cruiser combines the retro looks of a late-1930's american sedan with modern styling and features. It made a big splash when it was introduced as a 2001 model. That was back in march 2000, and chrysler has been selling more than 135,000 of them a year. In spite of this, the pt cruiser still attracts attention. People are intrigued by the cruiser's difficult-to-define character. Chrysler says the pt cruiser is too cool to categorize. It boasts the interior volume of a sport-utility vehicle. Pull the rear seats out and it'll haul a load of building materials or a big tv box. Yet it's shorter in length than many compact cars, making it easy to park. It's also easy on gas. adding to the fun is the driving experience. The cruiser is based on the dodge neon, a compact car noted for sprightly performance. New turbo models add fire under the hood. The gt (aka pt turbo) features a 220-horsepower engine that gives the cruiser a real boost. We also like affordability. On the downside, the pt cruiser has all the refinement of a compact car. new features are available for the 2004 models to enhance the cruiser's sophistication. An optional power convenience group 705) adds remote keyless entry, automatic power central locking, and power exterior mirrors, and cruise control. The gt also comes with side-impact airbags and most of the limited edition's luxury goodies. A new option for 2004 is sirius satellite radio, which is offered on all models. The cost of the receiver 325) includes a one-year subscription. Also new for 2004 is uconnect, chrysler group's hands-free, in-vehicle communications system 360), which uses bluetooth technology to link the user's cellular phone with the cruiser's stereo speakers. The front seats in the three lower-line models have a reasonable amount of bolstering to keep driver and passenger from sliding side to side. The gt also features a chrome-spoked, leather wrapped steering wheel, and chrome pedals. roominess is a virtue in the cruiser. Its 121. 5 cubic feet of interior volume is comparable to that of large cars such as the mercedes-benz s-class or lincoln town car. Much of that space is a function of the cruiser's height. The roof rises toward the rear like on a chopped-top hot rod. to take advantage of this, the rear seat bottoms are higher than those in front, resulting in what what the industry calls theater seating. The front seats are mounted on tall boxes, leaving plenty of room for rear passengers to stretch their legs underneath. A six-foot, nine-inch passenger can fit comfortably in the front or rear seats. chrysler claims the pt cruiser's cabin can be configured 26 different ways. This flexibility stems from three features: a 65/35 split rear bench that can be folded flat, tumbled forward or removed; a movable parcel shelf; and an available front passenger seat that folds flat. The rear seats are anchored with quick-release attachments for easy removal. Suitcase handles and steel wheels make it easier to stash them in the garage and move them about. The smaller seat weighs 35 pounds, but the larger section weighs a hefty 65 pounds. The cruiser can provide up to 64 cubic feet of cargo volume. Still, a mountain bike doesn't really fit without removing the front wheel, removing the rear seats, or both. Seatbelts should always be worn, however, and the pt cruiser comes with three-point safety harnesses at all positions, including the rear center position. I apologize, the photos are of the car when i bought it and i couldn't find the photo file so i took pictures of the pictures. Baby bear says this one's just right. introductionthe full-size dodge ram brought big-rig styling and a host of innovative features and design details to the pickup truck market; its popularity is now a matter of record. New colors have been added to this year's palette. It's most appropriate for a delivery truck for the local auto parts store. next up is an optional 3. 9-liter v6 that generates a very useful 175 hp and 225 lb.-ft. It's stronger than any other engine available in any truck that's anywhere near the dakota's size. Depending upon specific configuration and drivetrain, the 5. 2-liter gives the dakota a towing capability of 6700 pounds, a level the imports and compacts just can't match. finally, dodge is introducing the dakota r/t this spring with a 5. 9-liter v8 that makes 250 hp and a crushing 345 lb.-ft. It just won't take no for an answer. from the outside, the dakota looks and feels like a slightly smaller near-clone of the ram. The body comes in a regular cab or extended club cab with cargo box lengths of either 6. 5 or 8. 0 feet. The base price was $19,665; some carefully selected options raised that figure to $22,405, which we thought seemed reasonable. as we expected, the performance and pulling power of the v8 was several steps above that of most of the v6-powered compact pickups. The dakota isn't particularly fast because, even empty, it weighs about two tons. Everything was screwed together tight, the doors and tailgate closed with an authoritative slam and nothing creaked or rattled. It's roomy, comfortable and full of features, big and small, that make getting down the road a pleasure. the standard interior comes with a comfortable bench seat, split into three parts on a 40/20/40 percent basis. The center portion has a folding back that also serves as a center armrest and includes a large, multi-function storage console. Optional bucket seats come with a huge center console that includes specific spots for tissue paper, maps and cassettes or cds. Both bench and bucket seats have their strengths, so choosing between them is a personal decision. other neat touches: three cupholders in the forward portion of the center console in three sizes, for a two-liter bottle, 20-oz.
