A 3 owner documented 1978 280z 2+2 with less than80k miles on the odometer and an ownership trail that goes a long way to proveit. The z in finished in color code 240 racing green metallic over a saddleinterior. The car has been well maintained and refreshed with a mindset to keepit as close to stock as was practical. The original wheels and hubcaps have beenrecently replaced, the exhaust has been updated with a custom bent modern systemfrom behind the original manifold, and the valve cover is polished, butotherwise this z remains pretty much in stock form. The radio, steering wheel,and shift knob remain unmodified, and against the current trend, late stylebumpers are in place and in very good condition as well. Even the headlights arestock nissan koito halogens retrofitted from an s130. The car has been paintedonce a couple years ago, and was done to a nice driver level. The dash has no cracks, but does have a couple imperfections thatpresent almost as subtle bubbles near the main gauges and has aged much betterthan most. Everything works including the clock with the exception of the airconditioning, which seems to be intact, but hasn't been charged during myownership. The radiator and many of the tune up parts are new within the lastyear. The car runs well, doesn't drink much fuel, and is a joy to drive. Air Conditioning

This is a very nice example of a series 1 datsun 240z. I am the third owner and have owned the car for three years. I purchased the car from the second owner who had owned the car for over 30 years. He was 87-year-old when i bought it from him and he just could get in and out of the car anymore. He'd taken extremely good care of it and kept the car in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The car has always been garaged and in dry climates. In my time of ownership i've only washed the car with a hose three times, other than that it's been dust and detail. Up until the last five years, the car has always been in southern california. The second owner retired to southern idaho and brought it with him. Since purchasing the car, i have flushed all the fluids, done regular oil changes, and had the carbs professionally . I also replaced the radiator with a mishimoto aluminum unit (i do still have the original radiator which is still in good order). I drive the car two to three times a month when the weather permits. The original numbers matching l24 is in the car and runs strong. It starts easily, even when cold (with the choke) and does not smoke, leak, or make any unusual sounds. The shifts through all 4 gears and reverse easily without any grinds and the suspension is well sorted. It was refreshed at some point with new bushings and struts but i do not have paperwork on that. The car drives smoothly and does not wander, squeak, or rattle and it stops as it should. The interior is in very good condition and it's a rare blue interior. The seats are not original to the car and are out of a series 2 with the reclining lever instead of the series 1 knobs. The carpets are clean the dash is perfect and all the interior lights and gauges work as they should. The original spare is also with the car. The doors and hood open and close easily with a soft touch, as does the rear hatch. The car is 904 white and was repainted in the same color during the original owners time of ownership and it also has a bre front air dam. The air dam and front areas of the hot have some rock chips. The exhaust system is a 2. 25" y-pipe back exhaust with a gibson muffler with over under pipes. The bumpers are original and in excellent condition and all the rubber is original. The car comes with it's original pink slip from 1971, original service manuals, original keys, and warranty booklet. Questions are welcomed and i can provide more pictures upon request.

There is a small amount of rust present in the front driver side wheel well and there was rust repaired in the floor boards and the rear passenger dogleg. Currently two-tone black and sunset burnt orange (originally 918 orange)

Very nice but not "show quality". Minor ding on passengerdoor above the handle that can easily be removed by paintless dent guy. All newwindow seals and door seals (some old glue residue is present in a few pics buti'll work on getting it fully removed before car is picked up). When ifound the car, it had been stored in a garage untouched for nearly 30 yearsafter the second owner lost interest in it. I bought it and brought it back tolife. What i loved about the car was its rare original color, and how solid itwas. Being stored inside, untouched, in a dry climate for 30+ certainly savedthis beauty! I believe it was always a garaged car. Solid original frame andfloors. Factory undercoating still in place. Very nice original it's age! Speaker holes cut in door panels (speakers and radioare gone). Car has only 70k original miles! I converted to brandnew weber carbs for better performance, but original su carbs will be includedalong with air cleaner. Fires up withfirst blip of key. A few extra parts included as well. This has anexcellent running, super quiet stock engine. Tranny shifts very well. Brakes area little soft. I've bled them but the rear drums aren't adjusting. Carneeds very little to be perfect. Can easily be taken to the next level and be ashow winning japanese.

The datsun 240z was a turning point for japanese automakers. This car proved the land of the rising sun could compete in a sports car market rife with british roadsters and muscular detroit iron. For those who desire a bit of classic motoring with far east reliability, look no further. This true, series one, 1970, 240z is finished in a repainted sunset orange over black interior. An l28 engine block but a non numbers matching engine has been fitted. Many enthusiasts consider the n47 head a welcomed upgrade. Arizona car, same owner since 1986. Car has been repainted from its original orange but presents nicely. Evidence of its original orange color can be found with the wheel arches and engine compartment. The car has recently benefitted from around $2,500 worth of maintenance and upgrades. New bushings on the suspension and steering rack have been installed. Clutch has been adjusted. A tune-up and oil change has been performed. All lights are in working order.

Windshield washer blades, some of the lights need replaced, there isn't a heater core in it (haven't looked to see what the heater core needs). Truck reads 120,000 on the odometer, and burns some oil. New fuel pump and alternator were just put on it
