In 2013 it also received a major service which included new valve cover gaskets, new rear main seal and full tune up giving it new plugs, cap, rotor, wires, new idle solenoid, service of front and rear diff's, transmission service and rear output seal on the transfer case. With the excellent paint job and new exterior "woody" trim this one looks like a low mileage factory original. I've sold some of those sub 50,000 examples for $30,000. So this one has the reliability and the looks for half the price. All the power door locks and power windows work including the rear tail gate glass. The interior is in original and rip and tear free. The high pile carpet is in good shape. The cargo area carpet was showing it's age and was just replaced. I have added new lifts for the back door, new lights, new battery, new alternator, I also put tow hitches on the front bumper, and a hitch for trailers on the back bumper. The radio does not work unfortunately, but I do have a new one that can be put in but I'll give that to whoever buys it so they can do what they want with it.

Comoptions:description:this is a 1985 amc jeep cj7 laredo that has been fully restored using real amc parts. The 6-cylinder 258 was removed 2 years ago and in its place we put a real amc 401 v8. At the same time, the body was completely stripped and repainted in the factory burgundy color. This jeep has all of its original floor pans, fenders, etc. It also comes with an extra set of half doors with matching paint. The 401 was fully dismantled all the way to the block and professionally rebuilt. The jeep has a mild cam, edelbrock intake, offenhauser valve covers and hedman headers. The jeep was also converted to a fast fuel injection system. We wanted to keep the jeep looking like it just drove off the showroom floor, while enhancing performance and reliability. It has power brakes and power steering using original amc parts. Tilt steering wheel, which is very rare. Those are real marchal fog lights, too. The interior of the jeep has all original amc parts, including original laredo front grill overlay, side mirrors, seats, steering wheel, center console, grab bar and door panels. The gauges are all original parts. The fuel filler overlay is an original part, as are the chrome bumperettes. Original front bumper. Original chrome wagon wheels with original hubs. Original fender flares. Original spare wheel swing arm. The a/c system was rebuilt and works great. Original carpets seatbelts and carpets. Original 4wd lockouts. When chrysler purchased jeep from amc in 1987 they killed the j10 jeep pickups because they were a threat to sister company dodge's ram pickup. They were that good! Finished in an easy to maintain tan paint job with a head turning orange stripe this truck screams classic. The body is rust free and really straight. The interior is nicer than any rival gmc, ford, or dodge with a soft touch steering wheel, and nicely designed vinyl bench seat. On that note the tires are in good condition and the wheels are clean. All of the glass is clear and clean. The truck always starts up and goes in to all of the gears with ease.
