Starts and runs great, i restored this mga in the 80's and it has beengaraged since that time. Needs some minor work on paint, lower panels arefiberglass and solid. Chrome has some rust. Many parts replaced, the grill isfrom a mk11 1600 but it is a 1500 coupe. Fun car to drive and work on.

This car has just undergone a complete and extensive multi-year restoration fromthe ground up! This car only has 54,800 original miles. The car was takencompletely apart and everything was either refurbished, rebuilt, or replaced. Engine and transmission rebuilt, new clutch, new carpet, new leather interior,2,500 alone for the interior kit), new battery, new top, new tonneau cover,(needs to be installed), new tires, new wiring harness, wire wheels, carb replaced with twin su carburetors with k&n air filters,new suspension bushings, etc... It has a regular 4 speed manualtransmission without overdrive. The car runs, shifts, drives, and stops as itshould. This car looks practically brand new! The underside of the car looks asgood as the exterior or interior of the car. The car has only been driven about300 miles since the restoration.

1972 mgb convertible. This car has been garaged and well maintained. The top islike new and comes with a tonneau cover. 79500 on the car with the enginerebuilt at 74000. Most everything is original and works as it should. Thisisn't a questionable recent restore. It's just in really great shape. There are a few blemishes here and there but nothing bad. Runs great and easy to drive. Color is kinda beige, cream (not stark white). First owner had it in storage for 25 years (medford oregon). The car was built in 1986 by the original owner. The body and components were brand new in the kit. Fiber fab was the manufacturer and the most popular of the mg kit manufacturers back in the 80's. The kit included the cream colored gelcoat fiberglass body, all chrome components like headlights, bumpers, grill, trim, plus upholstery, dash, gauges, top, etc. So, all of that was brand new in 1986. These cars were built on vw chassis 1966-1970. The first owner chose the drivetrain of a 1969 vw bug. The bug body was removed, and the new mg body and components were assembled on the chassis. The speedometer and odometer and gauges are definitely not out of the dash of the original vw. More than likely, when the car was built the odometer was at zero, and the owner drove it for 2-3 years before putting it in indoor storage, and sometime during those 25 years of (indoor) storage, the odometer broke, showing 7,404 miles on it. First thing i did was have the car safety inspected and mechanically evaluated. I had the front end totally rebuilt, ball joints, boots, tie rod ends, alignment, etc. Had the carburetor rebuilt, complete tune-up with plugs, ignition parts, new plug wires, set timing. Had new fuel pump installed, fuel filter, valves adjusted, new gaskets. New brakes all around, and all new clutch and assembly and seals, overhauled wheel cylinders. Electrical system refreshed, fuses, etc. Rear axle shaft rebuilt. Finished it off with five (5) brand new coker radial tires w/wide whitewalls. And i have all the receipts for everything listed above. Horn, lights, radio all work great. Now, with all that done, like i mentioned, the only thing i haven't done is the engine block, because it doesn't need it and runs great. It doesn't smoke, it doesn't consume oil, so there's been no reason to rebuild the engine. It is really peppy/quick, probably due to the lightweight body. It's very quick off the line, but i baby it and i have literally never driven it faster than 45 mph. It does have an oil leak, which is very typical for vw air-cooled engines. Beside the oil leak, the only other thing to point out is the left signal return occasionally doesn't cancel after the turn. I was going to shoot some wd40 in there, but i figured i'd wait and let my mechanic do it. I'm a detail guy, i did the carpet, the wheels, wax and shine, engine detail, etc., but i am not a mechanic. Even in nice weather, i never used it as a daily driver. I drove it mostly on early summer saturday mornings, and sometimes late just after dark. Cheaper than therapy! Heater doesn't work, but who cares. It's not a winter car. No ac, just top down, and enjoy the breeze. I think it looks best with the top down. The body is in great shape. Minor spider cracks are very common, especially for a car this old, but this car has very few, and there is no other body damage. Grill, trim, headlights, all perfect. Tan original upholstery is in great shape, no damage, cracks or tears, and looks great with the new carpet. Convertible top is in 'good' shape (no tears, fits great), has some stains, but it's in great shape so i didn't want to mess with it. This is a fiber-fab american built tribute car, of an english classic, on a german drivetrain :) gotta love it! These little cars are awesome and getting harder and harder to find. Easy to work on, parts are cheap, because the drivetrain is a vw. A "real" 1952 mg is expensive, parts are not always available, often have to be shipped in and very pricey. But not with this air-cooled vw drivetrain, they are reliable and inexpensive. As far as price, i've seen these cars sell from $6,000 for poor condition, to $16,000 for excellent condition. Compared to others in same outstanding condition as mine, $12,500 is an outstanding value for this little car. My car is meticulous compared to all three and presents extremely well in person. The two-tone tan and brown one from gateway for $11,995 is no comparison in detail and appearance. It's a fiber fab product like mine. (by the way, i have the 5 original wire wheel covers that came with the kit. I just personally think that the color matched wheels and chrome caps with the mg logo in the middle is a far better look. The wire wheel covers do look good, especially with the whitewalls, i just prefer the way i have it now.) this is an awesome little car and it's ready for the summertime, the car shows, and fun! $12,500! This car was completely disassembled and every inch of it was restored. I have extensive photos documenting the restoration. The frame was striped and triple coated in black as original. All new brake lines and fuel lines installed along with complete new brake system. The underside of the car looks as new as the body and interior. The engine is completely restored to be as it was new. Correct clamps, hoses and all new wiring. One can easily see from the photos the level of time and care that went into this car. It was started as a labor of love by its owner to restore for his wife. He spared no expense and made every effort to return the car to it's 1954 new condition. Every part and every mechanical system was rebuilt, restored, or replaced. Unfortunately his wife became very ill before he could ever give her the car. The chrome is stunning, the paint in the original mg red is spot on. The interior appears new. All gauges (except the clock) work as they did new. The engine runs stronger than any tf i have ever driven. Even my mechanic was amazed at the power compared to most tfs. One would think it was a 1500 engine rather than the stock rebuilt 1250. It shifts like new and brakes very well and perfectly straight. I realize there are no photos of the top. It is new and fits perfectly. There is a set of front side curtains that are brand new but have never been installed. The owner knew he would never use them and did not install the included mounting brackets on the doo.
