It is extremely rare as only 6,117 code "6267x" series 62 convertible coupes were built in 1951!! The previous owner purchased the car in 1983 and shortly after it underwent a 20 year restoration which was completed in 2005. The family told us that the 94,356 miles showing on the odometer were the actual original miles but we have no way of proving it. Just look at this thing though !! It still retains it's correctly mounted - factory original - firewall mounted cadillac data plate and it's - factory original - frame mounted cadillac vin stamp, both of which are shown in several pictures. This is a nice - dry california - montana - idaho high mountain desert - western car and it shows! I drove this car for the last several days as my everyday driver and it ran and drove great !! Sounds great too with the factory style true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. All of the black rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple and in new condition. The black vinyl power convertible top is also in very nice condition and sports a matching black vinyl convertible top boot cover. This series 62 convertible comes nicely equipped including working factory power hydraulic windows, working factory 2-way power hydraulic front seat, factory power wipers, factory front wing windows, original chrome driver's side view exterior mirror, good heater and defroster, original clock which is no longer working, original day / night rear view mirror, factory gauge clusters with 110 mph speedometer, factory trip odometer, factory fender skirts, factory back up lights and a working factory power hydraulic convertible top. This series 62 convertible has gorgeous looks and awesome 331 v8 power as well... What's not to like ?! The suspension and drive line all seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. All of the original chrome and stainless steel exterior body trim and moldings are in nice condition including very nice original badging, nice original chrome front and rear bumpers and nice original chrome grill and headlight surrounds !! Take a look at the awesome - new - original style - coker chrome wire wheels wrapped in brand new coker wide whitewall steel belted radial tires, boy does this combination look outstanding on this series 62 convertible and really retains that clean - "factory original" look !! The clean - solid trunk also sports a maroon carpet liner and a full size whitewall radial spare tire. This vehicle is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. I looked underneath and also included photos below. Again, this is a nice - dry - california - montana - idaho high mountain desert - western car and it shows !!

This car has been totally re-done from bumper to bumper about three years ago. The paint is in great shape and was professionally done. The chrome is all in good condition. The tires are new all around. The engine is an 8 cylinder motor (original to the car) and has been rebuilt at the same time with around 3000 miles on it. The transmission is a three speed hydromatic, and was rebuilt at the same time as car restoration with all new seals and fluids. The floor pans, and the trunk are in excellent condition with no rust anywhere. The dash clock was re-built and even works perfect.

Replaced heater motor under seat with new nos heater (heater 1) insulated sound detoner adhered to floor before new carpet installed new door panels doors have new rubber around wing glass and new felt on door glass of both front doors new headliner and roof insulated prior to headliner install all dashboard components were gutted and re-done and in working order like new now.

There are a few spots on the body that could use some work, but the car is solid. The original two-tone black and white interior shows some wear, but is complete and good for its age.
